Congratulations to the NT Rural Women’s Award Winner

Four inspiring Territory women have been named finalists in the 2022 NT AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award.

Kylie Jones, Tisha Tejaya, Simone Cameron and Liandra Gaykamangu have been announced as contenders for the renowned Territory-wide award and recognised for their work in supporting rural development across our regional and remote communities.

The 2022 NT Award Winner will be selected from these finalists and announced at an event hosted at Parliament House, on 29 April 2022.

The NT winner will receive a $15,000 grant from Westpac. The money will be used to support her project and she will also be able to complete a professional development training course of her choice.

The overall NT winner will go on the represent the NT at the National 2022 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award, with the winner to be announced at a Gala Dinner in Canberra in September.

The Award’s Platinum Sponsor, Westpac Agribusiness also acknowledge all finalist in the Territory Award.

The Territory has diverse and well-established agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors, with plant-based industries alone worth over $350 million and over 135,000 tonnes of produce grown annually.
