Statement of capacity: onshore gas support industry in the Northern Territory

The Northern Territory Government commissioned the Industry Capability Network of the Northern Territory (ICN NT) to undertake an industry capability mapping and gap analysis study of the variety of businesses in the Northern Territory associated with the servicing of the onshore gas industry.

A total of 1,250 unique businesses were identified in the study and had their capabilities matched against the identified scopes of work on 1,647 occasions.

The study demonstrates that industry has a high level of competence in meeting the majority of the scopes associated with preparation of sites and supply to the sector in the Northern Territory. However, ICN identified gaps indicating there is a very low to no companies to service or supply within drilling services, equipment and operations.
