31 March 2020 New laws for takeaway liquor sales When you go to purchase takeaway alcohol and your ID indicates that you are not a local resident or does not include an address, the licensee is required to ask where you intend to consume the alcohol.

27 August 2021 End of emergency notice - takeaway liquor outlets Following the further easing of the COVID restrictions the Director of Liquor Licensing has revoked additional licence conditions for all takeaway liquor outlets in the Darwin, Palmerston, Litchfield and Katherine areas.
17 August 2021 Takeaway liquor outlets additional conditions As a result of the current COVID situation in the Northern Territory the Director of Liquor Licensing has imposed additional licence conditions for all takeaway liquor outlets in the Darwin, Palmerston, Litchfield and Katherine areas.
