Pink duplicates of NT Waybills

Region: Greater Darwin, Katherine Region, Barkly Region, Central Australia | Topic: Livestock, Biosecurity
Feb 2021

Northern Territory (NT) waybills provide detailed livestock movement information used to trace animal movements. NT waybills is an important part of the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) in the Territory.

It is a mandatory requirement for cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, camelids (including camels, alpacas and llamas), deer and pig owners to complete a waybill whenever livestock are moved outside the boundaries of a property.

When you move stock, the pink duplicate must be sent by the livestock owner to the registrar or a livestock biosecurity officer within 28 days of the stock being moved. Under the livestock regulations, it is an offence not to complete a waybill correctly and penalties may be incurred for not submitting the pink duplicate.
