Library services
The Northern Territory Department of Primary Industry and Fisheries operates two libraries, at Berrimah Farm in Darwin and at the Arid Zone Research Institute in Alice Springs.
Opening hours: 8.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Closed public holidays.
Library access
Library services are provided primarily for the staff of the department and its industry clients. Researchers, tertiary students and members of the public are welcome to use the library for reference purposes during opening hours. Phone in advance. See contact information below.
The two libraries take inter-library loan requests from other libraries.
Inter-library loans
Most library material is available for loan through the inter-library loan system. The public must place requests via their own local libraries. Industry clients in Darwin and Alice Springs may register to borrow material directly from the department’s libraries.
