Gambling research

This report presents an analysis of data related to online gambling from the 2015 and 2018 NT Gambling Prevalence and Wellbeing Surveys.

The relationship between the following are investigated:

• online gambling and gambling frequency
• number of gambling activities
• socio-demographic
• socioeconomic and health risk factors
• problem gambling risk and
• harm from own gambling.

The results will be useful to:

• policy makers in government tasked with developing legislation and regulatory approaches to online gambling
• industry in understanding risks and harms from online gambling
• counselling services treating clients experiencing gambling-related harms.
