Caring for Country Music Competition

The Caring for Country Music Competition is focused on raising awareness of the importance of caring for our country through biosecurity.

Biosecurity is about protecting our environment, maintaining the overall health and wellbeing of the land, its ecosystems, and the people who depend on it.

Northern Territory singers, musicians, songwriters, schools and creatives are encouraged to submit their song entries for a chance to win a cash prize.

The categories and prize money include:

  • Schools $2,500
  • Individual $1,500
  • Group $2,500
  • Most Innovative and Creative $2,500
  • People’s Choice $2,500

All entries will go into the draw for the Most Innovative and Creative. And the People’s Choice Award will provide the opportunity for the community to vote for their favourite song.

Entries will open on Tuesday 16 July 2024 and will close 12 noon Friday 20 September.

More information including Terms and Conditions will be available soon.

This competition is an initiative of the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and MusicNT.
