Annual cattle sales on 6 and 20 July 2022

Published

The annual cattle sales will return in July, with about 250 animals on offer.

Each year, the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade (DITT) auctions a portion of its Brahman and tropical composite cattle.

The animals are a product of DITT's long term selective breeding programs and current genetic research projects.

This provides an opportunity for industry to invest in high-performance cattle bred to be more productive, fertile and adapted to the Territory climate.

Cattle offered for sale have estimated breeding values (EBVs) and the bulls have passed a breeding soundness evaluation.

The sales are conducted through AuctionsPlus and a full catalogue is provided by Elders.

Industry can make an appointment to inspect the cattle from May.
