Wet season Pontoon Removal — East Arm Boat Ramp

Published

The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics is preparing the East Arm Boat Ramp for the wet season.

As part of these preparations, the outer section of the pontoon (between pier four and five) will be removed from 9 December 2022, until April/May 2023, date to be confirmed pending weather and suitable tides at that time.

The shortened pontoon will remain available for use for pontoon-assisted boat launches at the ramp on tides over 3.6 metres during the wet season period.

The pontoon is being shortened as a mitigation strategy to proactively protect it from extreme weather events experienced this time of year in the Top End.
