Territory wins big at Australian Training Awards

Territorian, Savanne Canobie has taken home Apprentice of the Year and Taminmin College has won Small Training Provider of the Year at the 2021 Australian Training Awards.

The peak national awards recognise the country’s best and brightest in the vocational education and training sector.

The national awards also provide an opportunity to showcase the Territory’s best and celebrate the sectors ongoing commitment, resilience and innovation throughout COVID-19.

The Territory had two winners and two runners up at the national awards that were held virtually last night, due to COVID-19.

Winners

  • Apprentice of the Year - Savanne Canobie
  • Small Training Provider of the Year - Taminmin College.

Runners up

  • Australian School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year - Elyssia Tallon Rosa
  • Trainee of the Year - Lorraine Randall.

The Territory’s eight finalists, comprised of six individual and two organisational finalists who all celebrated with friends and family, at a digital broadcast in Darwin.
