Territory business to benefit from customer service grants
Over 170 small businesses across the Territory will receive a share of over $2.1 million in grant funding to carry out improvements that enhance their customers’ experience.
The upgrades are funded through the Territory Government’s Small Business CX Grants, which help small businesses offering products and services directly to the public like cafés, retail shops and restaurants improve their front-of-house customer experience for locals and tourist alike.
The program includes grants of up to $20,000 on a 50:50 co-contribution basis.
Grant recipients will use the funding to address front-of-house improvements for consumers, highlights include:
- Phat Mango Darwin will use $7,020 in grant funding to transform recycled mahogany wood, from Cyclone Marcus into uniquely Territorian restaurant tables and service tops.
- The Oasis Tourist Park will receive $20,000 to transform the area outside the park’s reception with the installation of shade sails, concreting, additional tables and chairs and improved signage, as well as creating a larger shaded BBQ area.
- SAMs Dance Studio will receive a $7,780 grant to install a dedicated hybrid acoustic flooring and scotia at their studio in Gray.
- Roper River Transport in Mataranka will receive $20,000 in grant funding support to create an air-conditioned sitting / waiting room at the front of their premises; this will greatly improve their customers’ experience as the waiting area is currently exposed to the elements.
