2021 NT Training Award finalists announced

The 2021 Northern Territory Training Awards finalists have been announced, celebrating excellence in the Territory’s vocational education and training (VET) sector.

This year, the Northern Territory Training Awards broke a new record with 123 nominations received across 13 categories, comprising of 100 individuals and 23 organisations nominated for awards.

The record breaking amount of nominations saw the Northern Territory receive more nominations than larger states such as Western Australia and Tasmania. It also surpasses last year’s outstanding effort of 103 nominations across 12 categories.

The 2021 finalists represent a wide range of industries including retail, community services, cookery, electro technology, digital technology, health, laboratory techniques, computer systems, rural operations, conservation and ecosystem management, beauty and business.

Nominations were received from across the Territory including Tennant Creek, Nhulunbuy, Katherine, Gapuwiyak, Alice Springs and Darwin.

Now is it 66th year the Northern Territory Training Awards celebrate the achievements of Territorians in the VET sector and recognises the outstanding contribution made by our local trainees, apprentices, employers and training providers.

The winners will be announced at the gala awards night on Saturday 18 September 2021 at the Darwin Convention Centre, with eligible category winners progressing to the Australian Training Awards.

Tickets for the gala dinner will be available for purchase from 12 July.
