More support for businesses with extended restrictions

The Territory Government has announced an extra Small Business Lockdown Payment to support Territory business which couldn’t open due to COVID-19 restrictions.

A one-off extended closure payment of $1000 will be made available to eligible businesses that were ordered to shut or stay shut by the Chief Health Officer under CHO Directions 32-2021 PDF (538.8 KB), such as gyms, indoor or outdoor markets and indoor public swimming pool.

To apply for the extended closure grant of $1000, you must have first applied and been approved for the lockdown payment.

Eligible small businesses for the additional payment are those with a turnover above $75,000 and below $10 million and no more than 20 full time equivalent staff, and who had to remain closed following the Chief Health Officer’s direction.
