Published

The Northern Territory (NT) Government is considering its policy position on the drones industry and future development, led by the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade and informed by the initial directions paper.

This consultation will help inform the NT Government’s future planning for the drones industry and future development.

The NT is driven by new and innovative ideas and new technologies. Our vast landscape and strategic location allows us to be world leaders in drone technologies.

Industries that would benefit from drone technology include:

  • health
  • defence
  • agribusiness
  • maritime
  • mines and energy
  • fire and disaster management
  • government services.

Community input into the initial directions paper is an important part of the assessment process.

For more information relating to the survey questions, and to read the initial directions paper, go to the Have Your Say website.
