Fostering female innovators and entrepreneurs

Published

Territory women with brilliant business ideas are invited to present their proposals at the inaugural Women’s Innovation Pitch.

The top three finalist will each receive a $30,000 grant and a placement in the Business Innovation Program to help develop and commercialise their innovative business concept.

Since 2018, the Northern Territory Government has helped Territorians develop and commercialise their innovations through the Business Innovation Program.

So far, the Business Innovation Program has supported women like Aneka Truman at Made to Sew, and Jessica Whalley at Wats & Co.

The Pitch Competition is designed to see more women women-led businesses developing and commercialising innovations in the Territory and to diversify a field traditionally dominated by male practitioners.

The Women’s Pitch Competition will be held on 31 March.
