Addenda 1 - Questions regarding the Request for Proposal Process

Q: Is the commercialisation opportunity open to all growers in all Australian jurisdictions?

The opportunity is open to eligible entities. An entity (including individuals, companies and organisations) is eligible to participate in this Request for Proposal (RFP) process if it:

  • has an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • has the capacity to enter into a legally binding agreement with the Territory
  • has the demonstrated capacity to participate in the project
  • has demonstrated accreditation or a pathway to accreditation with the Nursery Industry Accreditation Scheme Australia (NIASA).

Q: Is it possible to obtain the overseas intellectual rights to the germplasm as well as produce and market any potential selections internationally?

The material will be offered exclusively to the successful proponent/s with an arrangement to ensure the Northern Territory Government’s intellectual property is rewarded and benefits flow to the Territory.

Q: Is there a RFP form to complete?

There is no form or template for the RFP process.

A proposal document in your chosen format addressing the evaluation criteria is required.
