Current legacy mine remediation projects
The following major projects in the Northern Territory (NT) are underway:
- Small Mines Safety Program
- Sandy Flat (former Redbank Mine) remediation
- the former Rum Jungle uranium mine site is being rehabilitated by the NT Government in partnership with the Australian Government. Read about the Rum Jungle rehabilitation.
Work is also underway to identify and prioritise other legacy sites. Find out more about legacy sites under investigation.
