About the Northern Territory global worker attraction campaign

The Northern Territory (NT) Government has kick started 2022 with a global worker attraction campaign to encourage skilled workers from interstate and overseas to move to the Territory.

The Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade has developed the campaign to grow a skilled and capable workforce to meet business and community needs now and into the future by:

  • supporting Territory businesses in their workforce requirements
  • achieving an increase in skilled workers relocating to the Northern Territory
  • raising the profile of the Northern Territory in the target market as a desirable and safe place to live, work, invest and do business
  • growing the Territory population to achieve their vision of a $40 billion economy by 2030 through sustainable and competitive industries.

The campaign will go live on 24 March 2022 and will:

  • feature real Territorians that have moved to the NT for work and stayed for the lifestyle
  • target skilled and semi-skilled workers
  • go live in Australia (NSW, VIC, SA, WA, ACT, QLD, TAS) and internationally (New Zealand, London, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, Italy, Vietnam, South Africa, Taiwan, Indonesia, Colombia, Brazil and Ireland)
  • include digital advertising appearing on social media, YouTube, BVOD, cinema screens, large format billboards and programmatic digital channels in the target locations
  • partner with Seek, CareerOne and Indeed to encourage job seekers to search job listings in the Territory.
