Recreational Fishing Advisory Committee

The Recreational Fishing Advisory Committee (RFAC) provides high-level, strategic advice to the Minister for Agribusiness and Fisheries on matters of significance to the recreational fishing community and guided fishing industry.

Nominations

The Minister is inviting written nominations to fill a number of vacant RFAC membership positions, with a preference for people with a Territory-wide focus and a true interest in contributing to the management and development of recreational fishing.

RFAC membership positions are voluntary, although travel costs are covered for regional members.

The current Government is committed to achieving gender balance, providing opportunities for people with disability, and increasing Aboriginal representation on boards and committees. Diversity and equal opportunity criteria will apply to the final selection process.

Submit your nominations

Written nominations should demonstrate:

  1. your relevant experience; and
  2. your contemporary knowledge of fisheries in the Northern Territory.

Nominations must be marked ‘RFAC nomination’ and emailed to the RFAC secretariat, Mr Jake Maynard at jake.maynard@nt.gov.au by no later than close of business on 11 August 2023.

Mr Maynard can provide the RFAC Terms of Reference on request. For telephone enquiries contact 08 8999 2154.
